PORT PERRY -- It's not a good time for the kind of streak the Port Perry MoJacks are riding.
With just two games remaining in the regular season, the MoJacks dropped a pair of weekend games, and have lost four of their past five as playoffs loom just around the corner.
Friday it was a 3-1 loss in Uxbridge to the Central Jr. C League leaders.
Port Perry fell behind 2-0 in the first period before Jared Olsen scored the only goal of the second period on a setup from Corey Skene and Josh Boniface.
Uxbridge added some insurance in the third period on the power play.
On home ice Sunday against the Georgina Ice, the MoJacks managed a little more offence, but the end result was still the same, dropping a 5-4 decision in a shootout.
Andrew Rhynold scored three times in regulation, giving him 42 goals in 35 games this season to lead the league with 61 points. Brock Smith had the other goal for the MoJacks in regulation time.
The shootout went seven players deep, with Georgina scoring three times and the MoJacks twice.
The MoJacks take a 19-12-7 record into the final weekend of the season that includes a game Saturday night in Lakefield and a home game Sunday against Uxbridge at 1:30 p.m.
