PICKERING -- Kyle Gill is a sprinter who didn't follow the traditional path most high school athletes take when securing a scholarship. In fact, Gill wasn't a high school student at all when he committed to run for Eastern Michigan University. The 19 year old from Pickering was actually enrolled at Durham College in Oshawa the past year, taking the first year of a business marketing course. But his longing to head south to further his education and take his running to a higher level never left, and his perseverance finally paid off... read more
