Candace Carnahan lost a leg in industrial accident

PICKERING -- The day that changes your life starts like any other, said Candace Carnahan, sitting before a gym of Grade 10 students. She would know - her life hasn't been the same since she lost her leg while working at a summer job, on a day that started like any other.

"I didn't know I could be hurt at work," said the safety ambassador at her Nov. 24 presentation to Dunbarton High School students. She spoke at Ajax High School in the morning.
