To the editor:
The people who work and volunteer at the Durham Humane Society are angels to look after our animal friends who, for whatever reason, end up there. God bless them.
We have some amazing people in our community who offer whatever they can to help them.
Private citizens, musicians, comedians, people from the sports world, business owners and real estate people offer their time, services, food, supplies, money and land to help out.
I know our elected officials read the paper and I read we have zoning problems.
So how about we ask these officials to offer their services by assisting and working with our humane society to find a solution to this unfortunate tragedy.
I'm sure they love animals, too, and would love to help out.
