DURHAM -- Police have released several suspect photos as they continue to investigate frauds perpetrated recently at banks in Durham Region.
The photos of men and women are related to the arrest on June 17 of a woman who was taken into custody after employees at a Royal Bank of Canada branch on Brock Street South in Whitby became suspicious of a person using fake ID to conduct transactions.
Carol Stephens, 42, faces a number of fraud-related charges. The photos released Thursday are of suspects believed to have conducted identity theft frauds at banks in Durham Region and the GTA, police said.
