Successful tournament for Uxbridge Tae Kwon Do Academy

MISSISSAUGA -- Six members of the Uxbridge Tae Kwon Do excelled at the Seung's Elimination Tournament in Mississauga on April 12.

One week after competing at the nationals, the team won six golds and three silver medals, showing that all the hard work that went into preparing for the nationals, carries over into other tournaments.

Chad Kirkhus won silver in patterns, Khalil Mouna won gold in sparring and silver in patterns, Shelby Tate won silver in sparring and gold in patterns, Rachel Cuma won gold in sparring and patterns, while Cypriano Mouna and Leilah-Maria Mouna both won gold in sparring.

The team was coached by Brandon-Jo Mouna, Greg Hall, Corey Kirkus, Imrana Mouna, Imran Mouna and Jason Mouna. Cyrano Mouna and Danielle Burt officiated at the event.
