COLDWATER – Colin Baker scored three times and cousin Ron Baker added a pair as the Whitby Dunlops hammered the Simcoe County Tundras 7-3 Tuesday.
The win gives Whitby a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League final.
The fourth game goes Saturday at 1:15 p.m. in Orillia, re-scheduled from Saturday, when snow forced a postponement.
Joe Van Volsen opened the scoring 7:44 into Tuesday’s game in Coldwater, as the Dunnies built a 3-0 lead through two periods.
Captain Peter MacKellar scored the other Whitby goal and also had two assists.
The Dunlops outshot the Tundras 57-46 and led 7-1 until Kyle Begley scored twice in the final two minutes for the home side.
If the Dunlops fail to complete the sweep Saturday, Game 5 would go Sunday in Whitby at 1:30 p.m.
