No replacement expected this season

OSHAWA -- At a time in which the Oshawa Generals are flourishing on the ice, the team has made a significant change behind the scenes.
Trish Campbell has been removed as president of the Ontario Hockey League club, ending a tenure that began when John Davies bought the team in 2004.
“I can confirm that Trish Campbell is no longer working for us as of (Thursday),” said Rocco Tullio, who came on as an equal partner with Davies in September. “The organization has made a decision to take a little bit of a different direction administratively and we wish Trish all the best in future endeavours.”
When pressed for further details, Tullio said, “To be honest with you, I don’t think it’s fair to the organization or to Trish to air out our laundry in the public forum.”
Attempts to reach Campbell on Friday were unsuccessful.
Davies, too, could not be reached for comment, but Tullio assured it was a mutual decision between the two co-owners.
“John and I are partners,” Tullio said, adding, “It’s like a marriage. You make decisions good, bad or indifferent and a lot of them are difficult decisions, but absolutely John and I talked about this for the last few weeks and felt the time was now.”
Tullio said the decision has nothing to do with the product on the ice, where the team is considered a contender to compete for a Memorial Cup this season.
“Nothing will change in terms of on-ice product, he said. “The fans will continue getting a great product on and off the ice.”
There are no plans to replace Campbell at this point, Tullio said.
“To be honest I think presidents and CEO’s and those types of positions should be left to ownership, but right now I’ve talked to the rest of our staff and asked them all to carry a little bit of an extra load to cover any of the overlap that Ms. Campbell was handling,” he said. “I’ll be there with the things that fall through the cracks, along with John Davies.”
