EPSOM -- A motorist suffering serious injuries was airlifted to a Toronto trauma hospital Sunday after his vehicle flipped on Reach Street, just west of Epsom.

A 36-year-old man was hurt when his vehicle struck a hydro pole and rolled to rest in the east ditch, just west of Marsh Hill Road around 7 a.m. Jan. 24. He was extricated from the vehicle by fire crews.

On Tuesday, he was described as having serious facial and head injuries; none are life-threatening ailments, say Durham Regional Police.

An investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective-Constable Kelly at 905-579-1520, extension 2672.
