Family Day fun in Pickering

Skating, swimming, chocolate workshop and more Feb. 15

PICKERING -- The February family holiday is just around the corner and Pickering has a list of events to keep both parents and kids busy for the day.

The Pickering Recreation Complex has been offering activities designed for families on the holiday for the past two years.

New this year is a visit from a special princess at 1:30 p.m. The list of regular activities includes swimming, skating, tennis, squash, racquetball, creative play, art, chocolate workshops, family fitness, story time, shinny hockey and more.

It costs $10 for the entire family to enjoy activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15. Residents can drop by the rec complex, 1867 Valley Farm Rd., now to pick up their passport. Those interested can also sign up in advance for many of the scheduled activities.
