Oshawa Cannabis Day cancelled

OSHAWA -- Oshawa's first ever Cannabis Day, has been cancelled.

Event organizers announced the decision late Monday via Facebook and YouTube.

The event was initially slated to take place July 1 at Lakeview Park, at the same time as the City's annual Canada Day celebration.

After politicians raised the alarm, organizers offered to move the pot party to Alexandra Park, but it appears pressure from police made them think twice about holding it at all.
