DURHAM -- Residents can get in the water as most of Durham’s beaches are safe for swimming this weekend, except two in Oshawa and one in Scugog.
Lakeview Beach East and West in Oshawa and Kinsmen Beach in Scugog have been posted as unsafe because of high bacteria levels. Durham’s health department took samples from each of the region’s 15 beaches during the week of Aug. 11.
