DURHAM -- The long weekend will be a great time to take a dip in local waters as only two of Durham's 15 public beaches are tagged as unfit for swimming.
In the final set of beach postings for the season, only Rotary Park in Ajax and Kinsmen Beach in Scugog are posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Samples were taken the week of Aug. 25 and tested at an Ontario Ministry of Health lab in Peterborough.
