Uxbridge heritage railway celebrates Lucy Maud with special trip

UXBRIDGE - Anne is going to take the train, and Uxbridge residents can ride along with her.

To celebrate Uxbridge's Lucy Maud Montgomery Heritage, the York-Durham Heritage Railway is planning a special trip from Uxbridge to Unionville on Saturday, Oct. 13. The train departs Uxbridge at 10:30 a.m. and the Goodwood station at 11 a.m., returning to Uxbridge at 5:30 p.m. The day includes a boxed lunch and entertainment on board, and tours of Unionville courtesy of the Unionville BIA. Those dressed in period costume can get their photo taken on board.

Tickets for 'Anne Takes the Train' are $45 for adults and $35 for children ages two to 12. Infants under two not occupying a seat ride free.
