160 to lose jobs in Oshawa parts plant closure

OSHAWA -- Pittsburg Glass in Oshawa has announced it will close its automotive parts plant -- a move the Canadian Autoworkers Union says will put 160 people out of work.The Oshawa parts plant on First Avenue manufactures windshields, rear and side windows for the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra, both built in Oshawa at the General Motors truck plant that's expected to close on May 14, 2009.... read more
