WHITBY -- At least three people have been taken to hospital after a single car crash in Whitby.

The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. Thursday when a car went out of control and struck a tree at the intersection of Burns Street and Michael Boulevard.

The car went up over a sidewalk and struck the tree.
