BROOKLIN -- A rash of thefts in Brooklin has prompted Durham police to issue a warning to motorists to make sure they lock up their vehicles and don't leave belongings behind.
Durham cops have investigate 13 thefts from vehicles over the past two months -- the majority coming in the last three weeks -- in neighbourhoods around Brooklin. While most of the thefts have targeted unlocked cars, in some cases entry has been forced, police said.
Police remind motorists to lock their vehicles and to make sure property, especially electronic devices, is stored out of sight.
