Hockey league donates to Big Brothers, Sisters of Clarington

Jun 18, 2009 - 03:42 PM

BOWMANVILLE -- The Clarington Recreational Hockey League is making a big donation to benefit some littles.

The CRHL is donating $4,600 raised at a Valentine's Day dance to Big Brothers and Sisters of Clarington, to help pay for the organization's after-school program and the annual Christmas party.

"The after-school program gives the kids a fun place to hang out and provides them with the opportunity to complete homework and work in our computer lab," said BBSC's executive director Darlene Brown. "This program would not have been possible without the support of the CRHL."
