Dozens of performers are tuning up for this weekend's Eaglewood Folk Festival.
The 19th annual festival opens Friday evening at the Eaglewood Resort in Pefferlaw and features the Georgina Community Drum Circle (taking the stage at 5 p.m.); Darlene (6 p.m.); Liam Titcomb (7 p.m.); Old Man Luedecke (8 p.m.); Evalyn Parry (9 p.m.) and Brian McMillan (10 p.m.).
The daytime schedule for Saturday and Sunday features a number of workshops and ensemble performances on three different stages. There are also plenty of activities geared towards children, including craft workshops and sing-a-longs.
Saturday evening's slate of entertainment gets underway at 5 p.m. with Scarlett, Whiteley and Washington; Nathan Rogers (6 p.m.); Little Miss Higgins (7 p.m.); The D. Rangers (8 p.m.); Kobo Town (9 p.m.); and The Perpetrators (10 p.m.).
The final night of the festival gets underway at 5 p.m. Sunday with Tamara Nile; Brent Titcomb (6 p.m.); Tannis Slimmon (7 p.m.); Donné Roberts (8 p.m.); and Hey Stella (9 p.m.).
More than 1,200 music lovers attend the festival annually, with a similar size of crowd anticipated for this year's event.
Weekend passes for the festival $65 at the gate, while single-day tickets are also available for $35. Evening passes, which allow admission after 5 p.m., are also available at the gate for $15. Children under the age of five get free admission, while those aged five to 12 can purchase a day ticket for $5 or an weekend pass for $10. Youth, ages 13 to 18, can pick up a day pass for $10 or a weekend pass for $20.
Camping is available throughout the weekend for $10 per night.
