Should government help auto industry?

Jun 04, 2008 - 01:22 PM

We asked, should governments step in and assist the auto industry?

Having lived in Cobourg over 20 years I know too well the effect GM's announcement will have on the community but no, the government should not help again. The automakers have had enough subsidies in the past, building the dinosaurs for the dinosaur graveyard. Greedy salary demands and too many strike days didn't help. No more government funding.
