Have Your Say on youth crime/vandalism

Nov 13, 2007 - 02:56 PM

We asked, How can we address the issue of youth vandalism/crime?

If you want to fix youth crimes, make the youth and their parents responsible. If it’s vandalism - the youth should be made to clean it up and the parents to foot the bill. If it’s crime - restitution should be made, again by the youth and/or the parents. The saying goes ‘if you can’t do the time - don’t do the crime’. So many of today’s youth are irresponsible because they are not held accountable for their actions.
