You better be good, Santa's coming to Whitby this weekend

DURHAM -- Santa Claus is making a number of parade stops in Durham Region ahead of the big day.

Parade options abound for young and old alike. There is the Whitby parade this weekend and the Sunderland parade next weekend before the big guy takes a break. 

WHITBY

Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m.

The JCI Whitby Santa Claus Parade marks its 40th year with a new route.

The parade starts Brock Street and manning Road and travels south along Brock Street to Trent Street, ending at Rotary Centennial Park. eventnow.ca/events/detail/21216/JCI_Whitby_Santa_Claus_Parade.

Saturday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.

The Sunderland parade starts and ends at the Sunderland-Brock Memorial Arena. Before the parade, from 4 to 6 p.m., there's a free skate at the arena and afterwards the Lion's Club hosts a Christmas sing-a-long upstairs at the Town hall.
