PORT PERRY -- Scugog Choral Society is looking for actors/singers for its first musical in its 33rd season.
Closed auditions will be held Sept. 8 and 10 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Town Hall 1873, Queen and Simcoe streets, for this fall's production of Meet Me in St. Louis.
The play is set in 1904 and the characters are anticipating the opening of the World's Fair in St. Louis. Some of the songs from the show are The Trolley Song, Meet Me In St. Louis and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
The case includes children, teens, young adults, a middle-aged couple and a grandfather.
Actors are to come prepared with a song that shows the range of their voices and bring music for accompanist. To arrange an audition, call Judy Anderson at 905-985-4257 to set a time.
Anyone interested in choreography, costumes, sets, lighting, sound and other backstage aspects is asked to call.
The director is Charles O'Connor with music direction by Alissa Smith.
