Aug 29, 2008 - 12:09 PM

WHITBY -- The body of a Whitby man reported missing earlier this week has been found in a wooded area in northern Clarington.

Durham police issued an appeal Wednesday for information on the whereabouts of Herbert Mikula, 52, of Belmont Court. His family reported him missing after he left his place of employment in Markham Tuesday afternoon and failed to return home.

On Friday police said the man's body had been recovered. Foul play is not suspected, police said.
